The free Skool community I would join first is AI Money Lab, and I should say straight away that it is my own.

It is free to join, and its public about page showed 93.3k members on 14 October 2026.

This page is for business owners, agencies and creators, so it explains how people actually use a free Skool community to learn a skill, meet useful people and decide whether a paid group is worth it.

You get my picks by goal first, then how free groups work, then how to find more, and then what Skool charges if you want to start your own.

I make no income promises on this page, because a community gives you training and people, and the results depend on the work you do.

The Best Free Skool Community For Each Goal

Most people do not need a long list, because they need the one group that fits their goal.

Your goal Free Skool community I would look at Run by What its about page lists
Learn AI from zero AI Money Lab (mine) Julian Goldie It lists free AI courses, 50+ free AI tools, 200+ ChatGPT SEO prompts and 1,000+ n8n workflows.
Build AI automations AI Automation Society Nate Herk It lists free Claude Code skills, GitHub repos, resource guides and 100+ n8n templates.
Start an AI agency AI Automation Agency Hub Morningside Education It lists step-by-step resources, templates and playbooks.
Run your own community Skoolers Sam Ovens It lists training on starting a community, weekly news calls and meetups.
Teach what you know Synthesizer Andrew Kirby It lists the Synthesizer Roadmap course and weekly Skool growth coaching calls.
Make better music Unison Producer Growth Hub Unison It lists five hours of free course videos plus free samples and project templates.

All six showed a Free label on their own Skool about pages when I checked on 14 October 2026.

The first row is my own community, so please read that pick as the owner's opinion.

I have not worked through the lessons inside the other five, so the last column only repeats what each public page says.

What A Free Skool Community Is, In Plain English

Skool is a platform that puts a community feed, a classroom of courses, a calendar of live events and a member map in one place.

A free Skool community is a group on that platform that charges its members nothing.

You join from the group's public about page, and that page shows a Free label, the member count and the owner's name before you commit to anything.

Some free groups are public, which means anyone can read the feed.

Other free groups are private, which means you have to be accepted before you see what is inside.

My own free group is private, and so are Skoolers, Synthesizer and Unison Producer Growth Hub.

Why An Owner Would Make A Skool Community Free

People often ask me what the catch is, and that is a fair question.

I can only speak for my own group, so here is my honest answer.

AI Money Lab is the front door to the rest of what I do, which includes my YouTube channel, my agency and my paid community.

That gives me a good reason to keep the free side useful, because nobody moves to a paid group after a poor free one.

The owner also pays Skool for the group, so a free community is free for you and not for the person running it.

None of that means you ever have to pay, and you can stay in the free group for as long as you like.

I think that is the right way to look at any free Skool community, because you can take the training and decide later.

How Business Owners Use A Free Skool Community

A business owner usually joins to solve one problem, such as getting more leads or saving time with AI.

The classroom gives you a method to follow, and the community lets you see how other owners applied it.

My advice is to pick one lesson, apply it to one real task this week and post the result.

That single post often gets you more useful feedback than a month of reading quietly.

If AI agents are your goal, the best free AI agent course on this site shows the free training I would pair with a community.

How Agencies Use A Free Skool Community

An agency owner can use a free group as a low-risk way to train a team.

You can ask a new team member to complete one module and write up what they learned.

You can also watch what questions other agencies ask, which shows you what clients are asking for right now.

The AI Automation Agency Hub is built around that topic, and its page says the team behind it runs an AI agency of its own.

I run Goldie Agency, and I think reading real questions from other owners is the cheapest research an agency can do.

How Creators And Educators Use A Free Skool Community

A creator can join a free group to learn how communities are run before starting one.

Skoolers and Synthesizer are both aimed at people who want to build on Skool.

Skoolers describes itself as a private club for Skool owners, and Synthesizer says it helps educators use Skool.

Joining a well-run free group is also the fastest way to see what a good welcome course and a busy feed look like.

How Freelancers And Career Changers Use A Free Skool Community

A freelancer can use a free group to practise a skill in public.

You can build something small, post it, and collect feedback from people who do the same work.

AI Automation Society describes a 7-day challenge on its about page, and a challenge like that gives you something finished to show.

I would treat the member map as a networking tool, because it shows you who is nearby.

The Six Free Skool Communities In More Detail

AI Money Lab

AI Money Lab is my free community for people who want to use AI in a business.

The about page lists free AI courses, a free AI community and AI case studies, and it says the material comes as video, audio, PDF and a printable version.

It showed 93.3k members on 14 October 2026.

AI Automation Society

AI Automation Society is run by Nate Herk, and it showed 470.4k members.

It is a public group, so you can read the feed before you join.

AI Automation Agency Hub

AI Automation Agency Hub is run by Morningside Education, and it showed 336.1k members.

Its page says new members are accepted within one to two minutes.

Skoolers

Skoolers is run by Sam Ovens, and it showed 152.5k members.

Its page lists a member map and meetups around the world.

Synthesizer

Synthesizer is run by Andrew Kirby, and it showed 47.1k members.

Its page marks both the course and the weekly coaching calls as free.

Unison Producer Growth Hub

The Unison Producer Growth Hub showed 49.8k members, and it calls itself a free community for music producers.

I included it to show that a free Skool community can be about a hobby as well as a business.

Member counts move every day, so the numbers above are simply what each page showed when I looked.

How To Find A Free Skool Community For Your Niche

Skool has a public directory at skool.com/discovery, and you do not need an account to browse it.

The page has category tabs for Trending, Hobbies, Music, Money, Spirituality, Tech, Health, Sports, Self-improvement and Relationships.

There is a Filter button with Type, Price and Language options.

When you set Price to Free, the page shows free groups only.

Each card shows the group's name, a short description, its member count and either a Free label or a monthly price.

A star rating also appears on the card when a group has reviews.

I would shortlist three groups, open each about page and join only the one that matches your goal most closely.

You can always join a second group later, and one Skool account works for all of them.

What A Free Skool Community Really Costs You

A free group costs no money, but it is not free of cost.

Cost What it looks like How I keep it low
Time You can lose hours scrolling a busy feed. I set a fixed thirty minutes a day and stop when it ends.
Focus You can join five groups and finish nothing. I join one group and complete its first course before adding another.
Attention You will see offers for paid products. I decide in advance what result would make a paid group worth it.
Follow-through It is easy to ignore something you did not pay for. I post my goal publicly on day one so other people can see it.

The people who get the most from a free Skool community treat it like something they paid for.

I would also be careful with any group that guarantees an income, and I would never pay anyone outside Skool's own checkout.

Should You Start Your Own Free Skool Community?

Some people searching for a free Skool community want to create one, so here is what Skool shows today.

I read Skool's pricing page on 14 October 2026.

What the pricing page shows Hobby plan Pro plan
Monthly price $9 a month $99 a month
Transaction fee 10% 2.9%
Members, courses, videos and live calls Unlimited Unlimited
Button on the page Try for free Try for free

The page's own description says you can get started for $9 a month with a 14-day free trial and cancel anytime.

The yearly option on the same page is labelled as two months free.

I could not find a plan that lets a creator run a community for free permanently.

That means you can open a group free for the trial period, and you pay a plan after that.

You are still allowed to let members in for free, which is what I do with AI Money Lab.

For a business, a free community is a marketing cost, so I would only start one if you can post in it every week.

Please check the pricing page yourself before you decide, because Skool can change it at any time.

Ready To Go Further? The Paid Option Is The AI Profit Boardroom

This is the paid part of the page, and I am labelling it clearly.

The AI Profit Boardroom is my paid Skool community, and it has 3,400+ members.

You get four coaching calls a week, which means you can bring a real problem and get an answer the same week.

You also get my installable Agent OS, which is the dashboard I use to run several AI agents with one shared memory.

The classroom has courses on Hermes Agent, Grok Bot, DeepSeek Harness, Claude Opus 5.5 and Jev AI.

FatRank named it the #1 AI community after testing 27 communities.

I am not printing a price here, because the current price is always on the about page.

If you run an agency and want help with search instead, my post on the best Claude SEO agency explains what my team does.

A Simple 30-Day Plan For A Free Skool Community

  • In week one, I would join one group, finish the welcome course and introduce myself.
  • In week two, I would apply one lesson to a real task and post what happened.
  • In week three, I would attend one live event from the calendar if the group runs them.
  • In week four, I would review what I built and decide whether I need more help.

If the honest answer in week four is that you need faster feedback, that is the moment a paid group makes sense.

If the free group is still teaching you something new every week, you should stay where you are.

FAQ: Free Skool Community For Business

Which free Skool community should a business owner join?

I would start with AI Money Lab if your goal is to use AI in your business, and I am telling you openly that it is my own group.

If your goal is different, AI Automation Society, AI Automation Agency Hub, Skoolers, Synthesizer and Unison Producer Growth Hub were all labelled free on 14 October 2026.

Why are some Skool communities free?

In my case the free community is the front door to my YouTube channel, my agency and my paid community.

The owner pays Skool for the group, so it is free for members and not for the person running it.

Can a free Skool community help my business?

A free group gives you training, examples and people to ask, which is enough to learn a new skill.

The result still depends on applying what you learn, so I make no income promises.

How much does it cost to start a Skool community?

Skool's pricing page showed a Hobby plan at $9 a month with a 10% transaction fee and a Pro plan at $99 a month with a 2.9% transaction fee on 14 October 2026.

The page's description mentions a 14-day free trial, and I did not see a permanently free creator plan.

Where can I browse free Skool communities?

Skool's public discovery page lists communities by category.

The Filter button has a Price option, and setting it to Free shows free groups only.

When should I move from a free group to a paid one?

I would move when you have a clear goal and need faster, more direct answers than a large free group can give you.

My paid option is the AI Profit Boardroom, which has 3,400+ members and four coaching calls a week.
