The Hark AI agent is Hark Pro, a free personal AI agent that reads your email, plans your day and does real tasks like bookings on its own cloud computer.

It launched on 6 October 2026, and I signed up on the free plan the same day to see what it could actually do.

If you run a business, an agency or a creator brand, the question isn't whether Hark is cool.

The question is which hours of your week it can genuinely give back, and where you need to keep a hand on the wheel.

So this post explains what Hark is first, then walks through nine practical ways I'd use it in a business, with every feature I tested in my video.

What Is The Hark AI Agent, In Plain English?

The Hark AI agent is a personal agent from Hark Labs, the company Brett Adcock founded after Figure and Archer Aviation.

Hark calls it "the operating system for your life".

It works on the web at hark.com and in the Hark Pro apps on iOS and Android.

You talk to it like a messaging app, and it does the jobs rather than just describing them.

It does that with its own cloud computer, called Handoff, which opens real browsers and logs in to websites for you.

It also remembers your preferences, so it gets better at your routine over time.

When I opened it for the first time, it felt like the Apple of AI agents, because it's clean, simple and easy to get going.

Here's what it costs, straight from Hark's launch post.

Plan Monthly price Usage Who it suits
Hark Pro Free It includes every feature with base usage. It suits anyone testing the agent on real tasks.
Hark Pro² $20 It gives you 2x more usage. It suits a solo founder who leans on it daily.
Hark Pro³ $100 It gives you 10x more usage. It suits heavy users who hit the limits often.

Every feature is available on the free plan, so you can test every use case below before spending anything.

How To Get Hark Running For Your Business In Five Minutes

Setup is quick, and here's the order I followed.

First, sign up at hark.com or download the Hark Pro app.

Second, connect your email, because Hark recommends doing that first and it's where most business tasks begin.

I connected my Gmail.

Third, check the details Hark shows you about yourself, such as your location, and correct anything that's wrong.

Fourth, answer its first question.

Mine was, "Hi Julian. What's one thing on your plate this week I could take off?"

Fifth, connect the business apps you use, such as Slack, Notion, GitHub, LinkedIn, Amazon or PayPal.

Once an app is connected, Hark can use it directly inside its own computer, which is smoother than Grok Bot, where I often had to log in again through its computer.

9 Ways A Business Can Use The Hark AI Agent

These are the use cases I'd actually run, each tied to a feature I saw in Hark.

1. A morning briefing that preps you for meetings

"Prep my day" checks your calendar and your inbox, then builds an itinerary for the day.

The example I saw said, "Your inbox is clean. Do you want me to pull in the sales numbers before your team sales meeting at 4 p.m.?"

That's exactly what a good assistant does, because it spots the meeting and offers the prep before you ask.

For a founder, this replaces the first twenty minutes of the morning spent scrolling email and calendar tabs.

2. Turning your inbox into a to-do list

Hark's proactive inbox reads your emails and proposes action items.

You just say yes or no to each one.

For a business owner drowning in client emails, this turns a messy inbox into a short list of decisions.

3. Client dinners, appointments and bookings

My on-camera test was a restaurant booking.

I typed, "Book an Italian restaurant for Wednesday next week."

Hark asked how many people and what time, and I replied "6pm, two people" with a typo that it still understood.

Then it started booking one of my favourite restaurants on its own computer screen.

I told it to stop before it finished, because it was only a demo.

In a business, the same flow handles client dinners, supplier meetings and appointments.

The lesson is that Hark really does the booking, so keep confirmations on.

4. An ecommerce panel for deliveries

Panels are mini apps on your Home screen that you create by typing what you want.

One of the example panels I saw tracked Shopify packages arriving this week.

If you run a store, a panel like that gives you a glance-and-go view without logging in to another dashboard.

5. A team productivity panel

I asked Hark to make a panel to track my productivity.

It asked whether I wanted meeting hours versus focus time, or a list of to-do tasks.

It also offered to connect ClickUp or Asana, which is where most teams keep their work.

For an agency owner, a focus-time panel is a simple way to spot when meetings are eating the week.

6. A creator content panel and launch Projects

Another example panel showed new podcast episodes from Apple Podcasts.

Creators can use a panel like that to keep an eye on their own show or the shows they follow.

For bigger jobs, Projects give you a dedicated thread that stores files for long-running work.

Planning a launch, a live event or a course release fits a Project far better than one long messy chat.

7. Travel for events and client visits

Trip planning is where Hark's computer really helps.

It can find spots to stay, write a packing list, tell you when to leave and book flights.

My example in the video was a camping trip, but the same flow works for a conference or a client visit.

8. Bills, subscriptions and payments

Home includes Action Buttons, which Hark calls "the evolution of notifications".

Hark's launch post says you can "pay" a bill or "cancel" an unused subscription by tapping the word.

You can also add your wallet so Hark can pay for things on your behalf.

Hark stores cards and passwords in an encrypted vault called Secured by Hark, and it says even its own team can't see inside.

This is the use case where I'd go slowest, because it's the one that moves money.

9. Recurring admin on a schedule

Anything you set up in chat as a recurring job appears in the scheduled tasks section.

A weekly summary of unanswered client emails or a Friday reminder to send invoices are good first examples.

You manage them all in one place, so nothing runs in the background without you knowing.

Here's a related video on cloud computer agents, which is the same idea Hark's Handoff is built on.

The Hark Features Behind Those Use Cases

Here's every feature I covered in the video, mapped to what it does for a business.

Hark feature What it does Business use
Email connection It connects your inbox first, and I used Gmail. It gives Hark the context for client work.
Integrations It connects Gmail, Slack, GitHub, LinkedIn, Notion, Amazon and PayPal. It lets one agent work across your stack.
Wallet It stores payment details in an encrypted vault. It lets Hark pay bills and make bookings once you trust it.
Home It combines spaces, Panels and Action Buttons. It becomes your one-screen business cockpit.
Panels It creates mini apps from a sentence you type. It tracks packages, focus time or content.
Projects It keeps long-running work and files in one thread. It organises launches, events and client topics.
Proactive inbox It proposes action items from your email. It turns email into yes-or-no decisions.
Side prompts It offers shortcuts like "quiet this" and "close this notification". It keeps the noise down while you work.
"Show" function It pulls things straight into the chat. It brings up the file or item you need without searching.
Attachments and voice input It accepts files and spoken prompts. It lets you brief it on the move.
Scheduled tasks It manages recurring jobs you set up in chat. It runs your weekly admin on autopilot.
Prep my day It builds your itinerary from calendar and inbox. It preps you before every meeting.
Trip planning It plans and books travel. It handles conference and client trips.

One thing it doesn't do is speak back, because voice works as input only.

What The Hark AI Agent Won't Do For Your Business

I'd rather you know the limits now than find them with a client watching.

Hark is a personal agent, not a team tool, so it isn't built for sharing work across staff.

Hark hasn't published which AI model powers the main assistant, so you can't pick or swap the brain.

Usage is capped on the free plan, and the paid plans only raise that cap.

Launch coverage said Hark was rolling out in the United States first, and it hasn't published a full country list.

Hark's terms say it isn't the merchant of record, so refunds and cancellations follow the shop's own policy, not Hark's.

The same terms let you give Hark standing permission for a category of transactions, which means one loose permission can cover many future purchases.

They also say content reviewed for safety or misuse can be used for training even if you've opted out.

So keep confidential client data out of Hark until you've read the terms yourself.

Hark AI Agent vs OpenClaw vs Grok Bot For A Business

In the video I compared Hark to OpenClaw and Grok Bot, so here's the business version of that comparison.

Question Hark OpenClaw Grok Bot
How fast can you start? You can start in minutes after connecting email. It takes longer, because you set it up yourself. Onboarding was harder than Hark for me.
How do connected apps work? They work directly inside Hark's own computer. It depends on how you configure it. I often had to log in again through its computer.
Who controls the setup? Hark controls the setup, and you control the approvals. You control everything. xAI controls the setup.
Best business fit It fits founders who want a personal assistant today. It fits agencies building custom agent systems for clients. It fits people already working inside Grok.

If you build agents for clients, OpenClaw is still the more flexible base.

If you just want your own admin handled, Hark is the easier win.

Here's my OpenClaw personal assistant walkthrough so you can see the difference.

Is It Worth Switching To Another Agent Again?

A viewer asked the question every busy owner is thinking.

They listed Hermes, Muse, Dots, Grok, OpenBot and now Hark, and asked when the market will saturate and whether the differences are big enough to configure everything from scratch again.

Here's my honest answer for a business.

Don't rebuild a working system just because something new launched.

If your current agent already handles your inbox and bookings, test Hark on one job and only move if it's clearly better.

If you've never had a personal agent working because setup was too fiddly, Hark is one of the easiest places to start.

The skill that pays off isn't picking the winner of the week.

It's knowing which jobs to hand off and which approvals to keep, and that carries over to every agent.

I made the same point in my ChatGPT Dots vs Muse comparison, because those two launched within days of each other too.

And if you're thinking of selling agent setups to clients, my guide on how to start an AI agency is the better next read.

Which Hark Plan Should A Business Pick?

Start on the free plan, because every feature is included.

Use it on real tasks for a week and see whether you hit the usage limit.

If you hit it regularly, Hark Pro² at $20 a month doubles your usage.

Hark Pro³ at $100 a month only makes sense if Hark is running a big chunk of your daily admin.

Before launch, Brett Adcock said the first 100,000 sign-ups would get the paid plan free, so check whether your account already has it before you pay.
