My Hark Pro review answers the question business owners keep asking me: yes, Hark Pro is worth it on the free plan, and I'd only pay once you hit the usage cap every week.
Hark Pro is a personal AI agent from Hark Labs that reads your email, remembers your preferences and does real tasks, such as bookings, on its own cloud computer.
My overall score is 4 out of 5, because it's the easiest personal agent I've tested but it still needs you in charge of anything that costs money.
I run an agency and a community, so I don't care whether an agent is clever.
I care whether it gives me hours back without creating new problems.
So this review looks at Hark Pro through that lens: what it does for a busy owner, what I tested, the value of each plan, the risks for client work and who in a business should actually use it.
The Hark Pro Review Bottom Line For Business Owners
Here's the answer in one table.
| Question | My answer |
|---|---|
| What is Hark Pro? | It's a personal AI agent that handles email, calendar, bookings and errands on its own cloud computer. |
| Who makes it? | Hark Labs makes it, and Brett Adcock, who also founded Figure, runs the company. |
| What does it cost? | It's free, with Pro² at $20 a month and Pro³ at $100 a month for more usage. |
| Is it worth it? | It's worth it on the free plan for almost any busy owner. |
| Should I pay? | You should pay only once you hit the free cap every week. |
| Biggest business win | The proactive inbox and Prep my day save admin time every single day. |
| Biggest business risk | It can spend money on your behalf, and the terms put responsibility for approvals on you. |
| My score | I give it 4 out of 5. |

This review is about one thing, which is whether it's worth your time and money.

What Problem Hark Pro Solves For A Busy Owner
Most owners I know lose hours every week to admin that isn't hard but is endless.
They answer emails that only need a yes or no.
They check the calendar, then dig through the inbox for the numbers they need before a meeting.
They book dinners, appointments and travel themselves, one form at a time.
Hark Pro is built for exactly that work.
It reads your email, remembers what you tell it and uses its own computer to go and do the job rather than just telling you how.
When I connected my Gmail, it greeted me with, "Hi Julian. What's one thing on your plate this week I could take off?"
That one question is the whole pitch, and for a business owner it's the right one.
What I Tested And What It Means For Your Business
I tested Hark Pro on the free plan in launch week, on camera, with my own accounts.
| What I tested | What happened | What it means for a business |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-up and email connect | It was ready in minutes after I connected Gmail first. | Your team can start without a technical setup day. |
| Restaurant booking | It understood "6pm, two people" despite my typo and started booking on its own computer. | Client dinners and appointments can be handed off in one message. |
| Panels | It asked what I meant by productivity and offered ClickUp or Asana. | You can build a quick dashboard by typing one sentence. |
| Proactive inbox | It proposed action items I could accept with a yes or a no. | Email becomes a short decision list instead of a reading job. |
| Prep my day | It built my itinerary from calendar and inbox. | Every morning starts with a briefing you didn't have to write. |
| Voice | It took voice input but replied in text only. | You can brief it on the move, but you'll read the replies. |
The booking test, from a business angle
I asked it to book an Italian restaurant for Wednesday next week.
It asked how many people and what time, and then it started booking one of my favourite restaurants on its own screen.
I stopped it before it completed, because it was a demo.
For a business, that's the kind of task that eats ten minutes of an owner's day for no good reason.
It's also the kind of task where a wrong click costs real money, so I'd keep confirmation on.
The proactive inbox and Prep my day, from a business angle
These two features are where I see the most value for owners.
The proactive inbox reads your email and suggests action items, and you just say yes or no.
Prep my day checks your calendar and inbox and builds your day.
The example I saw said, "Your inbox is clean. Do you want me to pull in the sales numbers before your team sales meeting at 4 p.m.?"
That's the moment an agent stops being a toy and starts acting like a good assistant.

The Other Hark Pro Features That Matter At Work
My tests covered the core, but these features are worth knowing about too.
- Panels sit on your Home screen, and the examples I saw tracked calendar events, Shopify packages arriving this week and new Apple Podcasts episodes.
- Home brings together spaces, Panels and Action Buttons, and you can even pay bills from it.
- Projects are dedicated threads with their own files for long-horizon work, such as planning a big event or tracking one work topic.
- The integrations I saw included Gmail, Slack, GitHub, LinkedIn, Notion, Amazon and PayPal.
- Connected apps work directly inside Hark's own computer, so I didn't have to log in again the way I often did with Grok Bot.
- Side prompts such as "quiet this" and "close this notification" help you tame the noise.
- The "show" function pulls items straight into the chat.
- The scheduled tasks section lists every recurring job you've set up in chat.
- Trip planning can find camping spots, write a packing list, tell you when to leave and book flights.
- You can add your wallet, which I'd leave until last.
For an ecommerce owner, a Shopify packages panel is an easy win.
For a creator, a panel that watches new podcast episodes is a quick way to keep an eye on your niche.
For an agency, a productivity panel fed by ClickUp or Asana gives you a daily snapshot without building a dashboard.
Is Hark Pro Worth Paying For? The Plan-By-Plan Value
Hark's pricing page says every plan includes every feature, and upgrading only gives you more usage.
| Plan | Price | Usage | Who in a business it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | It gives you base usage with no ads. | It suits every owner while they test it. |
| Pro² | $20 a month | It gives you 2x more usage. | It suits an owner who uses the inbox and Prep my day daily and hits the cap. |
| Pro³ | $100 a month | It gives you 10x more usage. | It suits someone who hands most of their personal admin to Hark Pro. |
Here's how I'd think about the value.
If Pro² saves you even a small amount of admin time each week, it pays for itself compared with almost any hourly rate.
But you only need it if the free plan runs out, so don't upgrade on day one.
Pro³ only makes sense for heavy users, because it's five times the price of Pro² for five times its usage.
Hark doesn't publish an exact allowance for each plan, so the only reliable test is to use the free plan for a couple of weeks and see if you hit the limit.
Before launch, Brett Adcock also posted that the first 100,000 sign-ups would get a paid plan free, though reports don't agree on the tier or how long it lasts.

The Business Risks I'd Weigh Before Using Hark Pro
This is the section that cost Hark Pro its fifth star.
I read the terms and privacy policy, and these are the lines that matter for a business.
| What the terms say | Why it matters for a business |
|---|---|
| A transaction is authorised once you confirm it. | Anyone who taps confirm on your account is spending your money. |
| You can give standing permission for a category of transactions. | One loose setting can cover lots of future purchases. |
| Hark isn't the merchant of record for most purchases. | Refunds go through the shop or your card issuer, not Hark. |
| For US users, Hark's liability is capped at the greater of 12 months of fees or $100. | Your protection if something goes wrong is small. |
| You must be at least 18. | It isn't suitable for younger team members or interns under 18. |
The privacy side is more reassuring.
Hark's privacy policy says your account won't be used to train AI models, and the terms say its AI providers aren't allowed to train on your content.
The privacy policy also says Hark hasn't sold or shared personal data in the previous 12 months.
Even so, I'd follow three rules in a business.
- Keep Hark Pro for your own admin and keep confidential client work in the tools you control.
- Keep confirmations on and grant no standing permissions until it has a track record with you.
- Give each person their own account, because Hark Pro is built around one person's email, calendar and memory.
Hark Pro vs The Tools You Might Already Pay For
Most owners I speak to already have an agent or assistant of some kind.
| Option | Strength | Weakness | Best business use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hark Pro | It's the easiest to set up and does tasks on its own computer. | You can't choose the model, and it acts on real accounts. | It's best for owner admin, bookings and inbox triage. |
| OpenClaw | You choose the model and wire everything yourself. | It takes longer to configure. | It's best for custom workflows you want to own. |
| Grok Bot | It suits people already living in Grok and X. | Its onboarding was harder, and I often had to log in again. | It's best if your work already runs through X. |
In my words from the video, Hark Pro is a very simple, easy-to-use version of something like OpenClaw, straight out of the box.
Here's the head-to-head I did between the two big build-it-yourself agents, if you want to compare that route.
Should Your Business Switch To Hark Pro?
A viewer asked whether, after Hermes, Muse, Dots, Grok, OpenBot and now Hark, the differences are big enough to switch and set everything up from scratch.
For a business, my answer is no, if what you have already works.
Switching costs you setup time, retraining and new approval rules, and that's real money.
Add Hark Pro for one job, such as your morning briefing or inbox triage, and keep everything else where it is.
If you've never had a personal agent working at all, Hark Pro is the easiest place to start.

Here's my Grok Bot comparison too, since that's the agent I kept measuring Hark Pro against.
Hark Pro Pros And Cons For Business
Pros
- Every feature is free, so testing it costs you nothing but time.
- Setup takes minutes, so non-technical owners can use it.
- The proactive inbox and Prep my day save admin time every day.
- Panels give you quick dashboards without building anything.
- It does real tasks on its own computer, such as bookings.
Cons
- It doesn't talk back, because voice is input only.
- Hark hasn't named the model behind its main assistant.
- It can act on real accounts, and the liability cap is small.
- It's built for one person, not a shared team workspace.
- It's brand new, so it has no long track record yet.
Hark has also said it's working on its own hardware, and launch coverage points to 2027 for that.
My Final Verdict On Hark Pro For Business
Hark Pro is worth it on the free plan, and I score it 4 out of 5.
Use it to take admin off your own plate, keep approvals tight and keep client work in tools you control.
Pay for Pro² only when the free cap starts getting in your way.
